Makes a couple dozen slices
half of a watermlon
chile powder (ancho preferred)
Slice watermelon into 1/4" thick slices. In a bowl toss in lime juice, sprinkle with chile powder and salt. Dehydrate on parchment lined trays set to high for 8-10 hours, until dried and chewy. Rotate trays halfway through.
Cook's note: If you don't have a dehydrator place on parchment lined baking trays in a 200 degree oven for 8-12 hours.
