Holiday Cookie Party
It's that time of year again! Holidays are officially upon us and here at The Jewels of New York we wanted to take advantage of the festive spirit to invite some close friends and family around to see our new studio. We hosted a cookie party, complete with lovingly pre-prepared dough, rolling pins and cookie-cutters of all shapes and sizes. Let's not forget the extensive decorating table!
Each of us chose and prepared a dough for the party– we had German vanilla kipferls and almond makronens, Australian anzac biscuits, and classic sugar cookies with a twist. The guests were able to bake and decorate their own set, and take their creations home at the end. With a simmering pot of cider on the stove and bourbon close at hand, the party was the perfect way to welcome the holidays!
Our talented friend Nanse Kawashima inspired us with her jewel like cookies, so we decided to recreate them and give them out as sparkly edible gifts this year.
