Every year during the holidays, I head back to the west coast to spend time with my family and friends. This year we stayed in a beautiful little yurt in Santa Barbara, set among rolling hills with very little around us. It was a peaceful and serene couple of days, where we went on hikes and stayed inside to cook our meals together.
We would practice yoga every morning together and finish with a big glass of fresh juice. I was lucky enough to receive a new juicer from my parents and have finally kicked my caffeine habit out the door. Starting the day with a glass of fresh fruit and veggie juice is a great way to re-energize and reset yourself for the new year!
Pomegranate adds a bright zing, while pear gives a soft sweetness to this green veggie juice. I like to leave it unstirred to show off some of the pretty gradients in the variety of juices.
